| The song Robby is listening to on his air pods to start season 2 is called Better Off Without You by the Pittsburgh based band The Clarks. I don't like it as well as Baby from season 1 but think it's cool they used a a Piisburgh band and think it's realistic Robby would be a fan. |
| It seems to have lost the momentum and fever pitch action bc it’s shot differently. All the actors seem to be shot against a green screen. It no longer feels like you’re in the middle of the action. |
I didn't notice the green screen thing but I agree that the pacing lacks the urgency. |
I didn't mind it. I read they were going for more realistic rhythms this season. I loved the last season but did think it was OTT for a single shift. My kid recently shadowed in a level 1 trauma center and was quite disappointed it was nothing like The Pitt!

| The hot male nurse from last season (that Javadi asked out for coffee) is missing this season! 😢 |
|
Late to the party but I really liked the fast pace of the first episodes! Also interns seem to be too well qualified, I’m sure IRL they fumble much more. Hot male nurse for the win! Too much emphasis on angry white men, IRL they aren’t the loudest in the ER setting.
Didn’t like: some cultural moments like Samira lecturing to her fellow student about sickle cell perception, or Robby muttering stuff in Hebrew. On the other hand, nurses talking to each other in Tagalog is super realistic, employees always talk trash in their languages, not just in the ER. Also didn’t like the clearly fiction things like a mass shooting or the nurse’s ex and kid being brought in. Some patients were just dropped and we never find out what happens to them at the end, like that guy who may or may not have molested his daughter. The show should have ended after 3-5 episodes. |
This is great to hear! Did he think the med students were a bit too capable right off the bat? And, how can the daughter not know that her schizophrenic mom has hours of in home care available via Medicare?! Like it was such a revelation from the social worker?! |
I agree they jumped the gun! |
They did show a stubborn egoistic immature daughter wanting to keep her father on life support against his wishes. I am told by real ER staff that it’s realistic |
But they ARE unreasonable |
Yes I did. Some outlandish posts calling me racist were indeed removed. |
But plenty remain. Just like plenty complaining about the character remain. It’s weird that you can’t accept that more than one person didn’t share your opinion. The character is off the show due to her fundamentalist beliefs conflicting with her storyline. Can you move on? You seem fixated. Personally I am done, I liked the character, I think the actress is a lunatic, and she’s off the show. It would be great to just move on. |
That is not true. |
There’s nothing to move on from. I can badmouth Dr. Collins until the cows come home if I want to. You aren’t the thread police and can’t stop me. It’s really weird that you keep trying to point out that many people liked her when the truth is most thought she was boring, underdeveloped and didn’t fit in with the storylines. The writers agreed and she wasn’t asked to return. |
