From the previously cited article: Overall, Rush maintained that the operation wasn't putting anyone at risk. "I don't think it's very dangerous." "I think I can do this just as safely by breaking the rules." |
Is the camping light out? I would expect it to be operating, as would watches. They wouldn't be in pitch black. |
How do you know they’re libertarians? What on earth? |
I don't disagree. I'm not even sure its feasible. Or if they'll even find it. |
| Gotta love that oceangate’s lawyer is complaining that the us government isn’t helping enough |
Oh man sounds like he was pretty woke like the ninnies here who insist everyone on board was a libertarian. |
| The search will die out. They will stay at the bottom of the ocean. Some other divers/novice rich dudes will find them in another 100 years. Where there advanced sub will fail trapping them down there for the next adventurer. So on and so forth, for eternity. Like an infinity mirror or sunken ships. |

From the previously link Ocean Gate webpage:
"Titan is the only manned submersible to employ an integrated real-time health monitoring system. Utilizing co-located acoustic sensors and strain gauges throughout the pressure boundary, the RTM system makes it possible to analyze the effects of changing pressure on the vessel as the submersible dives deeper, and accurately assess the integrity of the structure. This onboard health analysis monitoring system provides early warning detection for the pilot with enough time to arrest the descent and safely return to surface." |
really where did you hear that?? |
Dave Shaw went down 900 ft. The Titanic is at a depth of 12,000 ft. Use some common sense, people. |
the question is - if they lost power and all communication ability -- does this monitoring system even work? |
Link, please. |
Did it ever work? No one knows since they declined government/industry oversight. |
true. i see a big investigation on the horizon |
I think it did, because they said on the last trip they lost communication for a short while, but were able to find them or otherwise recover quickly. |
