Soccer
Pretty strong opinion. What I saw was a player who's natural ability was off the charts. This likely opened doors because every coach thinks they can teach IQ. Either way her natural ability trumped all the RAE zealots explanation about how the world works. |
US Soccer says it will. Game over. |
It’s been explained several times using very small words and simple English. If you can’t comprehend it by now, you’ barely have the intelligence to walk and chew gum at the same time. |
How does biobanding in MLS Next work? New to all this and I am generally curious. |
Right! And because there is zero data suggesting SY increases participation, they didn’t mandate it, they left it up to each body to “decide what was best for their community.” |
Q2 birthday under BY since about age 14. |
No SY mandate seems like a bone to MLSN academies for MLS covering up the embarrassment of shutting down DA. |
The ECNL bros are idiots. They’re the worst kind too, idiots in power that think they know everything. If you had a coach that thought they knew it all, you’d fire them. But because the ECNL Bros have a league and a podcast, we all are supposed to just sit here and nod to their dorm room philosophy? |
We’ve now resorted to someone yelling “liar liar pants on fire” as their argument. There was a post several pages back with facts about youth soccer participation decreasing after the change to BY, and the results of the US soccer survey where over 60% of respondents say that they have some players adversely impacted by being in different school grades. |
Obviously a biased opinion that conflicts with the professional soccer minds in her universe |
Um…. https://ussoccerplayers.com/fifa-world-rankings You’re wrong |
I like how you happened to gloss over that she played up a year (u15 when she was u14) and still dominated. But dont let facts get in the way of your REA agenda. |
ECNL didn't go out on a limb here, I haven't found anybody making the argument that coaches and clubs don't generally pick winning over player development. |
Another Q1 parent….worried about SY |
And this is exactly why the ECNL alliance with USYS and AYSO is insane. ECNL is not the good guy here and are not acting the the best interest of the existing ECNL players and families. I support the SY / freedom of choice change bc 1) I don’t think it matters in the long run, but 2) it POTENTIALLY is a net positive for soccer participation at the lower levels. But ECNL is not acting in good faith. |
