The idea that Reynolds needs his face to be everywhere like some megalomaniac is nuts when he helped create the super popular franchise where his face is covered by a mask for a third of the film and is severely disfigured in another third. This is the guy who needs his face everywhere? Are we definitely talking about the same guy? |
Andy from popcorned planet has been talking to iewu crew members and he just revealed that allegedly Blake had chronic cold sores during the filming and Justin and everyone was grossed out but tried to remain professional and makeup was scrambling to cover the cold sores… |
Are you seriously trying to convince us that Ryan Reynolds doesn’t care or doesn’t want to be seen everywhere? He wouldn’t even let his wife do a movie without getting in promos for it and without making sure when she was on the red carpet she gave him credit for writing some dumb scene. The jig is up. These people want us to love them. It’s the whole reason they went into this ridiculous industry. You trying to convince us otherwise is just weird. |
PP here. I'm not defending the Time 100 thing, but I don't think it's "insane." I think it's extremely standard PR for a celeb and it's just that this whole scandal has exposed the game of PR which means people are onto it. But all celebs do this. Ellen Pompeo just got a "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is also a pay-for-play "honor" (there's even an explicit price tag, I think it's like 75k) because she's promoting a streaming series right now. Baldoni was given a "Voices of Solidarity" award by some org named Vital Voices in late 2024, and Hasan Minhaj presented it. That was also PR BS (the award was rescinded after Lively's lawsuit, and you can cry foul about this, but since it's a BS award to begin with, who cares?). So yeah, the Time 100 think is a joke, but it's not crazy, it's the way celebs get their names in the news and build up positive goodwill with their audience all the time. It's good to be skeptical of stuff like that. But the problem there is not that Blake got some important honor that should have gone to someone more worthy. That honor is not important and they often go to unworthy recipients because Time is also just trying to grab eyeballs and sell magazines/subscriptions. It's all a grift, it's not some wonderful cause that was somehow soiled by Lively in this case. Baldoni was |
Yuck! She is so repulsive. |
Stay classy, Baldoners. |
I dislike Blake and think that would be troubling on a film set where people have to kiss, but the tone of this is childish. Something like half the population has the virus that causes cold sores and it's not like it's the result of someone doing something bad. Like you don't get a cold sore because you are unhygienic or a bad person. People just get them. I also have trouble believing she had active cold sores during filming. She's in like every scene and there are a lot of close ups. I would NEVER agree to be on screen when I had a cold sore! Even if you catch it early and treat it immediately, it would be visible, Even with great makeup. I would assume instead they'd get a prescription immediately and shuffle around filming scenes as well as they could until it was totally gone. With good meds that might only take a couple days, and if you stayed on the medication there is not way they would come back. So this rumor strains credulity for me. At most she had one cold sore and presumably it was treated. And cold sores are unpleasant but in a professional setting people should be able to be mature about a medical issue that just needs to be treated and resolved. What if an actor got cystic acne while shooting? Is it appropriate to gossip about how "grossed out" everyone on set was about it? Grow up. |
I’m pretty sure he was there to support her in the last two movies?! For IEWU it was part of the marketing plan (duo with Deadpool), to help both movies do their best. Your obsessive need to turn everything either of them do into something bad, regardless of what real facts and reality suggest, is just too much. Touch grass? Find some version of reality that you can hold on to. |
I’ve not been a part of the bickering but it absurd for any Lively poster to claim that Baldoni’s supporters are more obsessed. There have been plenty of weird Lively takes including extensive posts on Freedman’s past, claims of buying bots to upvote or downvote on Reddit, long attacks on Jed Wallace where he is made out to be the Antichrist, etc . . |
Just the messenger here. The point they’re trying to make is that Baldoni wasn’t looking to add “gratuitous” kissing and that in fact the opposite is true. People have also been pointing out that the fact Baldoni doesn’t bring this up in his complaint shows that he’s a professional and doesn’t want to embarrass Blake, even though she’s called him gross and everything else under the sun. |
I mean it's a rumor, this is all speculation. If true and he brought it up in his complaint, it could be considered an improper disclosure of medical information. Especially since it's not relevant to any of his claims -- he's not claiming she infected him with cold sores. So it would look extremely petty AND risk getting slapped by the judge for introducing medical info just to embarrass her. It would be dumb. Also in the video that was released, there's no question that he's trying to be more physically intimate with their faces than she is. She keeps leaning back away from him and trying to maintain conversation during the shoot, and he initiates every single instance of their faces touching. This both undermines the idea that she had cold sores the whole time and he was grossed out, and also does actually back up the whole "gratuitous kissing" argument on her side, even if her description of that scene is significantly less dramatic than what plays out on screen. |
+1 I don't think having cold sores is something she should be shamed for or ashamed of, but it could be relevant (if it's even true in the first place), and kinda goes back to how her accusations are tied to things she's insecure about. Like she's insecure about her post-partum body so she accuses Justin of fat-shaming while simultaneously believing everyone wants to ogle her to compensate for that insecurity, she's concerned about her cold stores, so she thinks Justin is desperate to kiss her, etc. |
I think the people saying she should lay low are just pointing out that many of her publicity stunts have failed. She needs a better team and better strategy because they’re giving her bad advice. Taking pics at sxsw with fake fans that turn out to be Paul feig’s wife, buying a time honor based on civil rights then conveniently giving a speech on SA, “visiting” a donut shop to appear normal but turns out it was a private event and the kids were paid models. It’s just really bad PR. |
I see once again we're doing an analysis of that video. She lied. End of. She claimed she was harassed by Justin who was whispering sweet nothings in her ear and wanted to talk when the scene didn't even call for talking, when it turns out she was the one who wanted them to be conversing. |
Why are you acting like my criticism was just her being placed on the Time 100 in and of itself? The issue here is that she was placed on there for a completely ridiculous reason, and used it to trojan horse her way into addressing her legal battles yet again. |
