I'm so sorry. Unfortunately, I've been there (failed more) and don't have a miracle story yet.
Here are some stories: http://m.essentialbaby.com.au/forums/index.php?/topic/846163-10-failed-ivf-cycles/
Best of luck to you.

I have failed 5, OP. I get it and I’m so sorry. My next steps - got my DH to do a sperm fragmentation test. Thinking about a DE cycle but not sure yet.

I don’t have a success story yet but I’m not giving up. You don’t have to either. Stay strong and be good to yourself.

Have you been at the same clinic for all cycles? If so, definitely consider consults with other doctors and grill them on what they'd do differently or what additional testing they would recommend.

You need to check out immune testing and treatment. Lots of success stories for women who have failed multiple IVF cycles.

+1 - try another clinic and look at immune issues if you haven’t already.

Good luck, OP. IF sucks.

This is what I was going to suggest. Who do people see now that Dr. Braverman passed away? He also had a big silent endometriosis focus and I wonder who else looks at treating those issues.

My DS2 was a result of the 7th IVF cycle, although I had some losses in there. We did actually switch clinics midway through and started working with Braverman. Hang in there OP! Switching clinics was the most important difference I think. That’s when I started getting pregnant at least.

His partner, Andrea Vidali. Although I would opt to go to his main competitor now that he’s passed, Dr. Kwak-Kim in Chicago.

CCRM CO
Cornell
SIRM
Kwak Kim

Even if you don't end up switching to one of these clinics, you should definitely do second-opinion consults. Most of them will consult by phone or Skype if you can't travel to all, although if they will do additional testing as part of the visit, it's worth the trip.

I had something caught via second opinion consult that ultimately led to treatment and a successful pregnancy. (grateful to Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM for that)

I have to say I agree, and our second baby was a Braverman baby. The clinic is a mess since his passing - Dr. Vidali is awesome but there's just no way he can do everything he was doing plus what Dr. Braverman was doing. I think a lot of their nurses have left and they're in the process of hiring new folks.

I also agree that if you've been at the same place for each cycle, it's time to move on.

OP - have you done an ERA?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been there before and know firsthand how isolating and lonely it can feel. You’re not alone.

At our first clinic, we did 3 IVF cycles (one of which was cancelled before the retrieval). In total, we got 8 embryos (6 blastocysts). Those transfers resulted in 5 negative cycles and 3 devastating miscarriages. Autoimmune and RPL testing came back normal.

At this point, I needed to switch clinics, and aside from marrying my husband, it was the best decision I ever made. The change of scenery and fresh set of eyes worked wonders on my mental health. It felt like hope was restored when I previously had none. My first cycle at this new clinic yielded 6 normal PGS tested blasts, and our first transfer worked. Despite having no known issues, the new clinic did a few things differently for good measure (PICSI, antihistamines, prednisone). Ultimately, I credit the superior lab. While I’m nervous every day and won’t consider our story a success until our baby arrives in December, I recognize that each day with this baby is a gift, and I’m truly thankful we’ve made it this far.

Hang in there. Remember you're a warrior, and try to be kind to yourself. I know easier said than done at times. I wouldn't wish IF on my worst enemy.

Another thing we tried on our most recent transfer - a natural FET instead of medicated. My new RE said some bodies respond better this way.

PP, what clinic did you switch to with the superior lab? I'm a poor responder and can't make blasts, but I wonder if it's worth trying a cycle at a new clinic before throwing in the towel.
