At our first clinic, we did 3 IVF cycles (one of which was cancelled before the retrieval). In total, we got 8 embryos (6 blastocysts). Those transfers resulted in 5 negative cycles and 3 devastating miscarriages. Autoimmune and RPL testing came back normal.

At this point, I needed to switch clinics, and aside from marrying my husband, it was the best decision I ever made. The change of scenery and fresh set of eyes worked wonders on my mental health. It felt like hope was restored when I previously had none. My first cycle at this new clinic yielded 6 normal PGS tested blasts, and our first transfer worked. Despite having no known issues, the new clinic did a few things differently for good measure (PICSI, antihistamines, prednisone). Ultimately, I credit the superior lab. While I’m nervous every day and won’t consider our story a success until our baby arrives in December, I recognize that each day with this baby is a gift, and I’m truly thankful we’ve made it this far.
