What fun activities do you do with your spouse?

They say to affair-proof your marriage you should have fun and adventures together where you can experience thrills together, bond and grow.

What do you guys do?

We both like working out but tend to do different things. But we meet in the middle of our preferences and do spartan races together. I’m a runner and he’s a lifter, but he’ll do the occasional road race with me (well...I beat him every time lol) if he likes the cause or if there’s a fun event afterward.

We both love sports so we go to NFL games together once or twice a year and occasionally to see my college team which is a big school with a good football team and great tailgate atmosphere. We also go to the local AAA affiliate baseball team’s games sometimes.

Board games. We loved Pandemic Legacy, season 1. We loved that we could do something without paying for a babysitter.

I went on a trout fishing trip with my husband. I was terrible at it and I looked ridiculous in waders but it was bonding and we laughed a lot. I had no idea how tricky trout can be and it was kind of fascinating - I was pleasantly surprised.

We also go on a lot of hikes with our dogs, cook fancy meals together and love to take vacations - they are very rarely kid free anymore though.

My DH and I love to travel, watch movies and try different foods/restaurants. Sadly, we can't do too much of these things because of the kids. Yes we could get a sitter, but it gets expensive. When we didn't have kids, we didn't have to worry about saving for college.

But, as they get older, we are starting to do this a bit more - we can go watch a movie without the kids; go to restaurants, but now, they want to come with us. We've traveled once just the two of us for a couple of days while a family member watched our kids. Our kids didn't like it too much. We have about seven more years to go before we are empty nesters. I miss traveling with DH.

Hike, go to art galleries, walk through cities, cook together, work in the garden. We look for new things we haven’t tried when we’re traveling/away for a long weekend like zip lining, stand up paddle boarding, hot air ballooning.

The biggest "thrilling" fun activity we do is traveling as much as we can and exploring new places - while on a trip we tend to do more adventurous things like snorkel, volcano hikes, snowmobile, even paragliding

Day-to-day we do hiking and spending time outdoors; museums; playing board games and sometimes video games; going out to eat; watching netflix/hanging out

None of my usual concert buddies are available/interested for a show I want to see in a couple months. My wife said she'd go with me.

Rock climbing
We went skydiving together once, not a regular activity but definitely checks the "thrilling, bonding experience" box
