They had no reason to develop drive and determination. MTV has enabled them for years (INSTEAD OF cultivating drive and determination, as you say). Someone of average intelligence can certainly graduate from a college, junior college, or trade school (Jenelle and Chelsea managed to).

2 reasons I know of--autocorrect often does it, and then it becomes a funny joke, and that's a way to make fun of her mannish-ness (Hulk is another nickname for her). I don't really find it all that funny. There's so much to snark on about her while leaving her appearance out of it.

Actually, Jenelle has the medical assistant associate's degree. I don't think Kail has finished college yet. But, this makes her more likely to countinue to be filmed by MTV, so...

Is this really an associates degree? I thought it was a certification from one of those for-profit "colleges." Doesn't matter anyway because with all of Jenelle's drug-related convictions she is the last person who will get a job in the medical field.

It's not an AA, and it probably was a for-profit school, but it's still legit certification. My niece did something similar at a Everest-type "college," which was way more expensive than the same courses at community college, but it allowed her to get a job as a medical assistant. But no, Jenelle will not be working anytime soon.

Kale has a LOT of issues. Not as many as Jenelle, but close. It's evident by how "perfect" her house is. She has that place so finely decorated it's like she's trying to prove that she's normal and a good mom and has it all. But she's just as trashy as Leah. But she thinks everyone sees the perfect home and will approve because she appears like any other suburban mom (minus the tattoos).
