Maybe she grew up and moved away from drug addicted Peter Pans?

And not everyone has to stick with “a type”. I dated lots of different types before meeting my now husband and I’m glad I did. Helped me see what kind of person really wanted to spend my life with.

The doofus who shotgunned beers last summer on stage at his bachelor's degree ceremony and was kicked off his college team for drugs is so mature.

It wasn’t his bachelor’s degree ceremony. Doofus.

So much hate on here for Taylor, but her streaming numbers don’t support the “numbers” of haters on this thread. The new album Is killing it. It seems like the haters here (probably just one or two ladies), have a more parasocial relationship with Taylor than her own fans do.

Precisely this. It’s sad, really. Who on earth would spend so much time and spew such vitriol on someone so completely inoffensive? What a waste of energy.

14:55 is hilarious. Not even going to bother quoting that race-baiting garbage.

Yes, it is absolutely refreshing to have an entertainer who knows their lane and doesn’t ASSume everyone feels the same way politically. Not interested in entertainers who also fancy themselves activists.

That said, that idiot poster clearly isn’t familiar with “You Need to Calm Down,” among other songs that very clearly stick up for her LGBTQ friends.

Work hard, play hard. Do you have comments about his job performance?

I’ll play! Yes I do have comments about his “workplace.” His out of control behavior broke a colleagues collar bone. He also yelled at his boss and pushed him. Those things are deal breakers in most work places.

DP. What on earth are you lying about this time? He didn’t break anyone’s collarbone, you twit.

Out of control behavior? You are lost. He missed a block. It happens

Why WOULDN”T you write that up in “job performance complaints?”

Because the guys who aren’t starters miss even more blocks and make even more mistakes. That’s the game.

Right….. he “risks his life every game” but only if he is playing against a fool like himself.

But to your point- this doesn’t happen that often. It got press because it was an abnormal mistake. Most star running backs don’t take out their own players. He did and so it got press. Why normalize it? It isn’t an every game or every day thing. He messed up. Have you played sports? This will stick in his coaches head as a mistake because it was one. And he needs to get his head back in the game and keep this from happening. This kind of mistake is the difference between world champion chiefs and all the other teams.

Yes, she should really wear hugely oversized, ugly clothing and dye her air green a la Billie Eilish just to show the world she doesn’t care about looks. Or shave her hair a la Pink. That’ll prove… something!

Surprised because, for some of us, this album is exactly how everyone of her album has sounded with a few exceptions here and there . In other words, it's always been THIS bad.So what happened ?My theory is that, some members of the 'cult' are having inexplicable moments of clarity and are now questioning what they ever saw in her music.

Taylor Swift huge popularity was NEVER totally owed to the quality of her music ( Its never been good)but rather to the never before seen intensity with which she catered and tapped into whiteness ( sorry swifties but it's true ).Her team rightfully calculated that, the return on investment would be massive if they positioned her as a cultural refuge for white women who couldn't care about things like gay rights, BLM, gender equality, #MeToo, reproductive rights etc.One aspect of this has been her cemetery-like silence on virtually anything that had nothing to do with, or did not affect/benefit HER. If you look at the huge pop stars of the last decade like the Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy perry just to name those, they've all been vocal about one societal issue or another without necessarily being affected by it . Katy Perry was boisterous in her campaign for Obama , Lady Gaga activism for gay rights was part and parcel of her brand, Beyonce has been open by her support for gay rights, BLM and a host of other issues .

Taylor Swift ? Radio silence . White America loved her for it and rewarded her handsomely. And so, no matter how bland, lackluster and jarringly forgettable the music was, they and their daughters were always going to come out in full force because she was their exit ramp from the highway of activism that they loathe. She was never going to make them uncomfortable by calling them bigots ( which many are ) for their lack of empathy, respect and support for marginalized groups. Taylor Swift has always sold blindingly white whiteness, except now, the cracks are forming.

I'm not a fan of TS (or a hater), I just don't know much about her music. I have sons, not daughters, and am older GenX. Today I heard a music critic on NPR review her latest album, and play clips of multiple songs. I was surprised at how..bubblegum pop bland it all sounds. And similar. Maybe it was always like this? Or explained by her using the same producer as for several other albums? (So said the music critic). Anyway, I have to agree with the PP, TS is bland in her personality in many ways, doesn't rock the boat, comes across like a nice person, and her music is blah too. (Thankfully no Swifties know where I live )

Her new album *is* bland - that’s what many of us who know her last four albums think. Those albums were masterpieces, each in their own way. The new one isn’t.

You asked for a performance review and are upset when one is given? Bizarre.

You know nothing about football.

Well here’s a positive- Taylor purposefully crediting George Michael as a writer instead of sampling the “master” which he never owned…. Ensuring the royalties go to his estate, not the people who bought his art as an asset.

Not boring? You’re spending a day talking about someone that’s clearly not your cup of tea. Um….

I’m actually one of the posters who actually likes Taylor but I see what’s happening for what it is. She doesn’t really hide it, it’s all out there. Her image has always been her number one priority. It’s why Matty ghosted her because she wouldn’t stand up to her fans when they were calling in death threats and trying to ruin his career. She sings about this to a great extent in TTPD. As far as Kelce goes, he might be good for her All American girl image and MH embarrassment damage control but she’s too way waaaayy too good for him. He's gross shallow and dumb. Taylor deserves better. I’m rooting for her. But he is not it. It’s all so messy.

Masterpiece and any of Taylor Swift album should never be used in the same sentence.
