She was on Fallon talking about him as if he is front lines in Ukraine or a firefighter running into a burning building to save children. Yeah football is dangerous but in the same way as a stunt man’s job is dangerous or drag racing is dangerous. Travis Kelce is doing it not out of societal necessity but as a choice. The fact that Taylor seems to put him in the first category and not the second suggests to me that she might be infatuated. |
Not boring? You’re spending a day talking about someone that’s clearly not your cup of tea. Um…. |
+1

Oh god I forgot about that. And then they crashed a Kennedy wedding. So much secondhand embarrassment (and I am a fan but come on, that was cringe). |
How many hours a day do you spent hate watching her? If anyone is infatuated it’s you. His job is dangerous. Her job is to be engaging and interesting in interviews. That you’re hanging on every word taking her very literally says a lot about you. It’s all entertainment. |
You should just slink back into your hole and not talk about football anymore. |
Because the guys who aren’t starters miss even more blocks and make even more mistakes. That’s the game. |
Her music sounded that way to you because..dare I say, you actually have some taste ? And being a gen-x , you grew up with terrific music being made and what not. Someone on reddit said she makes music for people who know nothing about music and boy! Do I have to agree with that one . I mean, even by pop music standards her music is unbearably immature . |

Right….. he “risks his life every game” but only if he is playing against a fool like himself. But to your point- this doesn’t happen that often. It got press because it was an abnormal mistake. Most star running backs don’t take out their own players. He did and so it got press. Why normalize it? It isn’t an every game or every day thing. He messed up. Have you played sports? This will stick in his coaches head as a mistake because it was one. And he needs to get his head back in the game and keep this from happening. This kind of mistake is the difference between world champion chiefs and all the other teams. |
I think you may have me confused with another poster? I was the “NP” poster who mentioned the Fallon interview. I don’t think I’ve posted in this thread before. I like TS and like the new album. I’m probably sensitive to this because my DH did several tours in Iraq. So her comment that every Sunday, his “life is in the line” seemed tone deaf. But you’re right, I’m probably reading too much into it. It just struck me as… naive. But I am otherwise a fan and wish her and Travis Kelce well! |
His family spoke very positively of her, even his grandmother. He was not exactly a helpless child. |
And? Her race/ethnicity is irrelevant. |
I used Beyoncé and Cardi B specifically as examples because we never hear any of the Taylor haters complaining about them “not helping younger performers.” In fact, the Taylor haters give those two a free pass for, well, everything. Which tells me everything I need to know about the “value” of their criticisms. |
She looks great. |
DP. Just stop. She hasn’t had any fillers and you know it. |
