Who will take the place of the protesting truckers if their insurance is canceled, and they are no longer able to work? There isn’t exactly a huge line of people wanting to drive the big rigs.

The truckers will prevail.


Other people will happily take those jobs driving those trucks. If Canada can’t find enough drivers, they can simply offer worker visas to immigrants who will fill the void. The world is full of people who can drive a truck and would be happy to escape their current situation for a chance to work in Canada.


No they won’t. Offering visas to foreign workers who have never driven an 18 wheeler in North America is not a quick and easy solution.

It isn't quick or easy in the teaching and nursing professions either . . . lots more training and education needed there . . . but it is the solution that is being implemented. So why not in trucking?

The population will cry “uncle” very quickly if insufficient quantities of cargo are transported by truck. That will happen a lot faster than getting a bunch of foreigners to go to Canada and get properly trained and licensed to drive a tractor trailer

It doesn't matter, this wasn't all, or even most, of the truckers in Canada. The truckers unions did not approve of this "protest".

You can not allow the criminals win. No one wants to live under the rule of these conservatives truckers and their foreign backers. I would go further- they should be held in 24 hour a day isolation and all their assets seized. Anyone who help them gets the same. There is a war being waged right now. The future of Canada as a free state is at stake. It is no coincidence that is happened after Canadian government released a plan to deal with another trump/republican administration.

And much of that support is coming from radical donors here in the US, as evidenced by the data breech from the give-send-go app that had the names and information of 96,000+ people in the US who’ve contributed to this attempted overthrow of the Canadian government.

The RCMP has this data, and Canada should seek INTERPOL extradition warrants on every name on that list. Round them up here, and ship them to Canada to be tried for treason. Let them spend 20 years breaking rocks on a frozen prison yard somewhere in some dreadful far northern province.

Well the good thing is the Canadians can monitor and spy on the US radicals and turn that info over to the US.

There needs to be a discussion - in Canada and right here in the US - about these truckers on a far more fundamental level than just vaccine mandates and pandemic rules. If they simply choose to stop working like this, the economy suffers. We all suffer. You can’t get food, clothes, essentials, new iPhones, whatever, you can’t get it. We are at the mercy of petulant children who are strangling us in the name of “freedumb”. Well, our freedom to be able to purchase the necessary items for life supercedes their freedom to not do their jobs and wreck the economy for all of us. Some kind of invocation of authority must be used to eliminate the ability of these people to simply stop doing their jobs. Why should truckers be allowed to wage economic terrorism on all of us by not going to work?

Do you think truck driving is rocket science? It takes 6 weeks to train a driver. The US military used to train truck drivers as a MOS a generation ago before they started outsourcing ordinary tasks to Halliburton contractors. Canada can train volunteers or members of the military. Trudeau should cancel commercial licenses of protestors and give free training.
