Would he/she be considered for diversity enrollment in schools?
TIA |
| Yes. |
|
Yes
|
| Yes. I think so. |
| Not for college, though. |
| Yes, hapa. |
| Yes to being a POC, but not necessarily underrepresented which is where diversity preference comes in. |
| The private school claims my half Arab, half white kid as a student of color. Which is ridiculous. He looks white. His name is Arab. But Arabs are considered white anyway by the census so I don’t get it. |
| According to Barack, yes. |
| As half-whites, half-east asians, I think colleges really don’t want us... particularly my violin-playing daughter! |
| Speaking from experience, no. |
|
1. For diversity enrollment, maybe
2. It depends on skin color OP |
| I don’t think so. |
|
Another person speaking from experience, I think it's contextual for a lot of us mixed people.
In a group of blonde, blue eyed Christians? I'm definitely a POC. In a group of dark Southern Indians, I'm not really a POC. |

For private schools - yes. For universities - no. There is actually a bias against Asians in the top colleges.
And yes to being a person of color. |
