Huh? |
|
Yes.
Not for college but for lower school. |
BARACK OBAMA, our president? Parlez vous anglais? Angliskii gavarritye? |
| Yes, social media follows the one drop rule when determining if you are a POC. |
It’s 2019, PP. Obama has been out of office a while now.
|
| One-drop rule says “Yes” |
|
Himachalis, Kashmiris, Punjabis - no.
Gujaratis, Rajasthanis - maybe. Dravidians - yes. |
Former President Obama said a half-Indian/half-Caucasian was a person of color? When did he say that? |
Where do you get that?! Your list is so arbitrary. |
| Bengali/German-Scottish/AA woman here - yes. |
| I would say yes. My son is half Indian and half Irish and is definitely a person of color/diversity student. He’s in a private grammar school currently but I don’t know if it helped with admission or not. |
| I am half Indian and half white, and I definitely consider myself mixed race. Because I am, and more to your point I'm not white, so yes I am a person of color. I don't walk around spouting it off, but I am proud of my mixed heritage. Why would I consider myself White? |
|
I am and no one would guess I'm half Indian unless I tell them. My white side of my family is really pale, and the Indian site is quite light-skinned. Most members of the Indian side of the family get mistaken for Latinos.
So I'm not really sure what I'm classified as. If multiracial is an option I pick that. |
Barack Obama is not half-Indian. What is wrong with you? |
| Yes, POC. No, it will not help for college admissions. |
