Hilarious, that she categorizes being an adult and paying bills as “kicking ass and taking names 🤣

Literally, congratulations on becoming an adult when you’re pushing 50

Basic ground level adulting equals Kicking Ass and Taking Names!

My 24 year old has been doing this since she was 22. Paying rent, a car note, taxes. Congrats, Jen.

It's part of the falseness of influencer culture. Everything has to be a big deal.

Never Glennon who I considered to be a clear toxic narcissist from the get go.

Years ago, when a Jen fan, I checked out Momastery and while I liked Glennon's writing and really liked a couple of her posts, she had a crazy-eyed look that made me think she was a little cuckoo. And...here we are. She is actually mentally ill. Her sister is a brat and Abby is trying to make the relationship work with all her Olympian strength but wow, it's a struggle.
I can't even bring myself to hate-listen to her podcast.

How much do you think Tyler's parents had to bail him out/support him during a career as an actor/musician/writer/speaker? I am thinking they likely paid his rent and bills for years. Does he mention how he earns his money in any of his books?

All the money therapy can buy, all the CBG gummies, all the wine, all the MeCamps and MeCourses, all the besties and ride or dies all at her beckon call. All the things. And Jen is more brittle and emotionally unstable as ever. The gospel of Jen turned out to be pretty horrible. Who knew?

Who cares if she’s no longer a Christian. Who cares if she’s not a great person. The problem is that she’s boring these days. I don’t even remember seeing quality pictures or videos of the cruise.

She’s hit a creative rut. That’s normal for influencers.

I know two wannabe, failed influencers quite well. One is a former colleague, another a former classmate.

Both were early Mommy Bloggers who each said they started blogging to capture feelings of early motherhood/share pictures in online journal form.

Both overshared about DHs, foibles of DC, included embarrassing photos and texts about DC and DH. It was uncomfortable to read intimate details, so lost interest and never followed.

It’s all fiction - all of it. What was never conveyed was all the trauma behind the scenes and as DC grew up, the pleas to stop oversharing. Many to multiple posts removed. Some quick explanations that there will be a break from SM then the blogs essentially shut down. Smoke and mirrors, lies, fiction.

If Jen and Tyler truly broke up that is a good thing for her imo. That whole “romance” was ridiculous. Now she can continue to truly heal and maybe find someone who’s actually enthusiastic about her and invested in something more than a passive aggressive “your so dope” from afar sort of thing.

I want to know the country song from 2020/2021 that should couldn't listen to because it was too close to her own story.

Theories?

I highly doubt she is referring to Big Sass. Like all her other 5000 post the last 3 1/2 years it’s been about her divorce, which is so exhausting and embarrassing.

The song post is nauseating. I’m the same man who spoke up earlier, get over it woman! It’s years behind you! Or better yet, take him back. And also, someone tell me how in the hell Texas Barbie deals with all her drama because at some point they have to be around each other (weddings. Babies etc…).
Barbie, let me know if he ever singles you up. I know you read this thread. I know you all do. Hi Tyler, Jen, Brandon and Barbie.

This is amusing at this point.

Pennsylvania

This really resonates with me. At the church plant I was a part of, a number of the women who were sucked into the Jen Hatmaker/Glennon Doyle vortex, shared way too much about their lives on social media and affected the lingo/mannerisms used by them in their posts and writing. One even started her own blog. I found the whole thing shallow, performative, fake, narcissistic, and gross.
