According to these, how many servings of fruits and vegetables do you consume in a typical day? A serving is actually pretty small. Today I'm at 10 (3 fruit, 7 veg)
|
| Unfortunately, not enough |
| Today, just 1 Apple. Typically, between 3-5. |
| Maybe 4? Did I read somewhere we should aim for 10? What meals and snacks did you eat to meet your number OP? |
|
2-3.
I eat fruit for breakfast and just before my runs. And replenish by purchasing whatever is on sale at my Whole Foods on my way back home. |
A cup of cherries, + 2 nectarines as fruit throughout the day (3 fruit) Lunch was marinated chicken breast plus a side of sauteed veggies (1 veg) Dinner was an ENORMOUS homemade salad - in a mixing bowl. Butter lettuce, kale, shredded carrots, corn, peas, sweet potato, beets, shallots, falafel, and pickles. (6 veg) I think the key is to make at least one of your meals entirely vegetable based. If I do that, it's very easy to hit 5-7/day, at least. |

I eat a minimum of 10 a day.
I was not losing weight and my nutritionist told me I ate too many fruits a day. WTF! |
| I seem to range from 4 - 12 lol. I wish I could get it more consistent, but #life... |
| Probably 1-2 servings of fruit per day, and 4-6 servings of veggies. I have a mild allergy to several raw fruits like apples, peaches, and pears, so I stick to berries and watermelon mostly for snacking. I like putting dried fruit (apricots, dates, plums) in stews for extra tartness. I typically make a big salad 1-2x a week and make at least one veggie dish per dinner. |
| Probably 1-2 servings of fruit a day. |
|
|
| At least 5, usually between 5-8 small servings. |
| 2-4. Usually fruit with breakfast or for a snack, then veggies with dinner and/or lunch. I think the only time I get more is when one of my meals is a big salad or stir fry, but I don’t necessarily want to eat one of those everyday. Otherwise, it seems kind of hard to fit in 8-10 servings when you only eat 3 meals and a snack. |
| A lot. I usually have fruit at breakfast, lunch and snack, and vegetables at lunch and dinner. But I'm also plant-based. |
