| Everyone from their late twenties to early thirties has started with preventive fillers and Botox. Am I missing out by not doing it too? |
|
I'm 33 and no wrinkles yet. Also no need for filler. Hard to justify the cost of these procedures when I don't feel I have the need for them yet.
I have a few friends who have started and one is 35 and is starting to get that frozen forehead/eyebrow look. |
| Nope, I started at 43. |
Botox is definitely preventive! I started around age 33.on area between eye brows and then forehead. I’m 46 now and no lines at all. Even when the Botox wear off, very smooth. Only need it twice a years my biggest regret is not doing my crows feet area at the same age. Once those lines start nothing helps. Tried filler but didn’t see much improvement. |
| I’m 36 and plan to start next week. Caucasian, olive skin, with forehead wrinkles and 11s from fun times in the sunshine. |
Do you feel it was an ok time to start or do you wish you started earlier? Thanks! |
| I'm not. 39 |
| Yeah, no. 38, no botox, no fillers, and no plans to start. |
| Forehead only bc my brow droops and the lines from holding it up with my muscles for decades began to show at 39 (I definitely need the little eye lift it gives). I have 1 other friend who does this that I can tell bc now I am looking for it. She is 51. So no. It everyone at all and my friends are all mid level maintenance so not a super crunchy bunch. |
| I'm 35 and no one I know does it- and not for a lack of income or access to great skincare professional. I suppose it is one thing if your career is largely impacted if you don't look youthful. But for those that looking your age does not impact them in a negative way- it seems going too far to me. |
| Huh. I must run in different circles. We don’t. Late thirties to early forties, |
|
eh - you'd be surprised all of you who claim to not know anyone who does fillers and botox. if you knew me you'd never in a million years think i did it - i wear no makeup, let my hair air dry and dress slightly slobbish (according to my husband - who also doesn't know about my secret trips to the derm) also i don't do botox around my eyes so they still crinkle quite a bit when i smile.

| I’m an academic; friends, coworkers and neighbors are journalists, museum professionals, some lawyers, physicians, etc. Most women don’t even wear much makeup and are pretty low-maintenance, so I can’t imagine many do this. |
| Almost everyone I know around DC gets Botox. |
| Weird, I don’t know anyone who does this. I’m 43. |
