Do you know the amount of following and praise you would get for showing women what it is HONESTLY like to date as a menopausal divorcée? This could be your gold mine. Where do you meet men? What are first dates like? What qualities are you looking for? What are your red flags? You could actually write interesting, fun content again!
7) Stop with all of the divorce reckoning stuff. It happened, it sucked, it’s been 3 years. You just sound bitter.

This is the hard advice of a good friend. Doubt Jen likes hard advice, though.

^all true, bit especially #6! This could be her path forward. People that followed her years ago started because they, too, were young moms struggling to make it. Remember when Jen used to give shoutouts to "Middle of the Nighters"? So those same people are now in similar demographics with mostly grown kids and many of them have probably also divorced or are navigating a major shift in their 40s and 50s. I don't think Tyler adds ANYTHING to Jen's bottom line, although I do think the bulk of her followers went out and bought his book when she introduced him. (I did- it was a one-time thing for me.) Anyway, there's something to be said for owning the season you're in, rather than trying to milk dry the season you used to be in. Make the pivot, Jen!

Tyler is a man child. Fun for a fling and not a good idea for someone like Jen, who DEFINITELY wants to be settled and married. He just reeks of pick me and immaturity and I doubt they’re even having sex. Behind the facade I am positive she likely feels neglected and like she’s chasing. It’s all so obvious from the outside and incredibly sad for her.

A boyfriend like Tyler has got to be agonizing for her.

He’s clearly indifferent and aloof and is someone with a brittle insecurity that Jen then has to constantly reassure.

That post was one her best performing posts, which shows that’s the type of content that resonates with her followers. She could have let it ride for a few days but she had to go and post baby pictures of herself.

I do think there’s still a bit of a gap with how she is processing this season in her life. Do you need to marvel that your kids haven’t crapped their pants - because none of them have probably done that in maybe 15-16 years. But still good to see her pivoting away from “parenting littles” content. People who got on board with her when she was popular aren’t parenting young children anymore. I don’t even know why she directs any of her posts to the “mamas with littles”. She isn’t gaining new followers and no one I know who has small children has ever heard of her.

Jen may be horrible to Remy online but show me how many parents with 5 adult children who all get along and adore both parents. It’s pretty rare. Jen and Brandon deserve their flowers for that.

And Jen is also doing a public service by dating Tyler. Showing the world how pathetic it is to suck the teet of a gay rebound for years on end. Even so, at least she has a new friend in the hard times, to make her feel alive sometimes.

When I was parenting my littles, I couldn't care less about some middle aged frazzled woman's advice. Who is she addressing, actually? Is she deluded enough to think that 25-30 year olds are following her?

Jen has lost all the charm that initially brought us to her. I hate this version of her and wish her closest friends could counsel her in some way. Do some kind of intervention. But do they even care?

Her hair looks nicer which makes me think it's a topper. I have lost a ton of hair due to menopause and am in the market for one myself- hers looks good.
