Anyone listen to the Scamanda podcast? It was about this woman who pretended to have cancer to scam people out of money. There's a new season called "Unicorn Girl" and the scammer at the center is...one of Jen's followers. Like, it seems she starts running the scam/building her audience when she's chosen to be one of the 500 women who volunteer to help with her book launch (I think the previous book, not the most recent one) and the women all become super chummy in their private FB group because they are the elite 500 chosen from 5,000 applicants. (That's how the podcast presents it and Jen is interviewed on it.)
Like, OF COURSE that's what Jen's followers are like. And OF COURSE this group generated a scam artist worthy of her own podcast series. |
