Anyone find wolftrap too expensive?

Anonymous
I just saw that ET is playing at Wolftrap with NSO. Thought it would be nice to take the kids. But at $40 a ticket? No. Anyone else think that’s too expensive?

No, I don't think that's too expensive. You will be hearing a full orchestra perform for two hours.

I think it prices out many families (like mine) but there are many other opportunities to experience culture at lower cost/free.

Why don’t you buy a lawn tickets @25?

I agree OP. It has gotten more and more expensive, it’s crazy that lawn tickets are that expensive at a national park.

Are you posting from 2007?

Gotta love a place where 80% of the posts are all about making "only" $300k, and getting outbid on million dollar houses, but $40 a ticket, way too expensive.

I think it's too prevent a bunch of kids ruining it for everyone. No one's paying $40 for their 5 year old

Lots of people pay $40 for their 5-year-olds. Have you been to WT lately?

Why pay for tick exposure?

If you can afford it $40 is a pittance to expose your kids your kids to culture. Damn yall, you can’t take it with you. If you have the money, spend it to create a happy memory of sitting in the grass listening to music with your children.

+1 You’re not paying for the movie. You’re paying to listen to a live orchestra. $40 is cheap for that. If you think it’s just about the movie, then rent it on Amazon and drag your TV outside to watch with your kids.
