“Baby up in this bitch” car stickers/magnets

Anonymous
I genuinely chuckle every time I see these. When did these come out? I had only seen “baby on board” previously.

That just screams low class. Where are you seeing these stickers?

Op here. I’ve seen three between this week and last on the road and passed a fourth in my work parking garage moments ago.

They must be new.

Maybe they came from the west coast because I started seeing them on cars a few years ago out here. They are almost always on luxury cars out here. Mercedes SUV, Range rover, etc.

I think they are just not your sense of humor.

I understand the humor but my elementary school kid can read. This isn't cool for a public display.

Serious question: why do parents put “baby on board” on car? I thought it was to signal to EMTs there is a child but a coworker said so fellow drivers will be nicer. Thoughts?

Gauche.

The EMT reason is correct. If your car goes spinning or flips and the car seat is ejected, it is a way for them to know to look for a baby.

The EMT thing is an urban legend made up after the fact. It’s for courtesy and general “fellow drivers, maybe be a little more careful” reasons.

If you think about it, the EMT thing is illogical. Especially if you don’t remove your baby on board sign when the baby is not in the car. A car seat is a better indicator, although even that is not always reason to think a baby was or is in the car (and could have been thrown out even if a baby was there). EMTs cover all possible eventualities no matter what. And it’s not like they’re going to take their sweet time rescuing you if they don’t see the sign. Besides, if the accident is bad enough that no conscious adult can tell them there was or is a baby in the car, there’s a good chance the sign will have been mangled. It just... doesn’t make all that much sense— and that’s if you don’t remember the actual origin of the signs.

I thought it was so potential car jackers knew there was a baby in there.

While I wouldn't do it, I found it funny the one time I saw it.
