This is rich, considering the way in which liberals on DCUM (and elsewhere) constantly trash talk places like Idaho as "flyover country." Forget the Trumps - YOU are the urban elitists who would never, ever consider living there. Meanwhile, I have lots of family in Idaho. It's a beautiful, clean place. Hope to retire there someday. |
I mean, “flyover country” is a very weak criticism when compared to what Trump said about Baltimore and her residents. |
The city (and its residents) gets a couple billion in aid each year. The vast majority is related to housing subsidies. In terms of direct payments to city hall, the number is on the order of hundred of millions. Other billions are SS/Medicare, billions to JHU etc, the same stuff that people calculate when saying red states are a net drain. |
No one else has noticed the current state of Baltimore? |
Have you ever been to Idaho? How do you know what it’s like? |
I'm the pp you are responding to and I am from the rural midwest. There goes your theory. Pfffft. |
I'm sure it's beautiful. Can you imagine Donald, Melania, Ivanka, or Jared moving there? In any scenario? |
Sources with actual numbers. |
No one else has noticed the current state of depressed rural America? |
How much cash goes to the people of Baltimore City, is the question. |
That’s right. Some of the flag officers I worked for did well with AA. It could help you too. |
Anyone? |
Why do you ask DCUM to do your research for you? |
Just google it, the baltimore sun has an anti-trump article today where you can find the actual numbers. If you actually want to engage in a discussion I highly recommend doing your own research rather than letting your "opponent" do research that supports their own position. |
Oh, please. He called out the rat-infestation, drawing attention to the abysmal living conditions many residents of Baltimore face. Are you actually denying there is a massive rat problem in B'more? |
