My posts started saying my youngest kids were in eighth grade and I explicitly wanted to see friction between liberals with different viewpoints. I have not advocated any particular view on any of the alternative plans. I have commented at various times on how I viewed the arguments. I have not called anyone any names ( although I have characterized their arguments harshly) with the exception of calling someone an idiot after they characterized me as a dipshit and that last long rant. As I said before, I was the only who responded when someone politely asked what everyone valued in a middle school.

I've found this thread quite informative as to how my neighbors must think.

Calling you a dipshit might be the most accurate post on this thread.

I am an affected parent and posted early on, then backed off when I smelled trolls. But I have to say, this reading this thread was very enlightening (and entertaining in a sick way) so thanks to all for giving me a few laughs throughout my work day!

Remind me again why this is whining. The homes in DH closest to Swanson are .3-.4mi door to door. The homes in DH furthest from Kenmore are over 2mi away. Why do you consider it whining to want our kids to walk a handful of minutes to the neighborhood school rather than being bused further away? The same scenarios would do the same thing to kids who now can walk to Jefferson or Kenmore. Truly. Why is this whining or racist rather than common sense?

Please take that malarkey to the real estate forum. We are discussing Arlington Public Schools. Families are guaranteed an education in APS when they move to Arlington, nothing more.
