Yes! I mistakenly said Houston’s. Also add to my list the original Lauriol Plaza, the original Sushi Taro, Kinkaed’s and Citronelle. Oh and Krupins Deli in Temleytown at its zenith. An eclectic list!!

The predecessor to Krupins was Toojays. The original Toojays is still in Palm Beach. I went there recently and it was like being back in Krupins.

Malibu Grill in Annandale. It was churrasco before Fogo and Chima. So much more reasonable back in the day ….

Gen Z living in DC really missed out on some awesomeness. Remember that Fox and Hound would give you the little airplane bottles of alcohol. And Fast Fettoosh after a night in Georgetown? Absolutely perfect.

This is the restaurant where my now husband met my parents. We all had a violent case of food poisoning after (husband and I were never so glad to have an apartment with 2 bathrooms. My parents in a hotel room were not so lucky). Makes sense they’re closed

You too??? I got the worst food poisoning of my life there. Barely made it out of the restaurant before I vomited my guts out on the sidewalk.
