Look at what's going on now with DOGE and Musk gutting government. What are the Dem leaders doing about it? They should be going on townhalls (a la Bernie Sanders), and hitting the media, especially social media. But the leadership is doing what about it?

I watched a few of Harris speech during the campaign, and she mostly talked up her "I'm a lawyer who goes after bad guys". Guess what? The vast majority of people don't care that much about Trump's alleged bad behavior. They care about the economy and illegal immigration. But, she didn't focus on those things as much. She focused on Trump's behavior. Bad strategy.

Like I said, I loathe Mump, just loathe them. I want them gone. I want D to control the House in 2026. So, what are they doing to achieve that?

Some of these things that get posted assume the speaker is MAGA when that's not necessarily so. What I hear her saying is that she thought most Republican voters and even most MAGA had good intentions, and now she has discovered that they never did. She does not say she voted MAGA, only that she thought better of those who did and realizes now she was wrong about that.

I'm not a political strategist. Don't they have people who get paid to think of something?

For example, how about barraging conservative social media with "Trump and Musk are going to gut Social Security". Posts may get taken down, but not before people see it.

How about Schumer explain why he went along with Rs on the spending bill? Dems are splintered themselves with some calling for Schumer to step down. Dems are angry at their leadership for not doing much to stop Trump. They don't seem to have good ground game anymore.

It took 2 years to negotiate the bill with the GOP and before that the administration was dealing with COVID and getting the economy on track. Face it, the immigration bill was written by Senator Lankford, a devout conservative and the bill had 80% of what the GOP wanted. The president said he would sign it, and Trump got the GOP to tank the bill to keep it as an issue through the election.
