More likely at the Metro entrance and a WMATA-related crime, which seems to be a growing trend.

This is why many of us don't take those who scream "gun control" seriously.
When people who are caught with illegal weapons aren't prosecuted, we take issue with those who want to limit or take away the right to own weapons from law abiding citizens.

Gun control is necessary to prevent MAGA from conducting an insurrection.

We need to focus on the root cause of the violence in our BIPOC communities to stop this, not locking up Black kids.

Oh, FFS.
How many "MAGA" had guns at the Capitol on Jan 6?

You go ahead and work on the root causes.... meanwhile the wound will keep bleeding and the black kids will continue to kill other black kids and innocent people. These kids know there are little to no consequences for their law breaking. It's worked out well..... don't you think?

It’s bizarre that people have sincerely adopted the dystopian policy slogan that guns should be outlawed but that outlaws should be allowed to have guns without consequences.

Unlike Baltimore, the DC Court of Appeals has erected an iron curtain of case precedents that prevents most gun possession cases from getting to a guilty verdict in DC. Short of someone waving a gun in the air in plain sight, the DC Court of Appeals have taken away most avenues of probably cause for MPD to initiate a search of an individual under the 4th Amendment. US AG can't get any of the illegal gun possession charges to stick because of this judicial activism.

DC is the only appeals court in the United States with this broad view of the 4th Amendment that hamstrings police and the prosecution.

'We've lost 75%' of search and seizure appellate cases,' DC's top prosecutor says
https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/investigations/matthew-graves-us-attorney-4th-amendment-cases-lost/65-93c2162b-41f2-4caf-b37f-30d95c4a4cdf

This is why the DC AG is not prosecuting gun cases. The courts have sent a strong and clear signal that they will not allow the AG to prosecute.

A pedestrian was killed today while crossing at a traffic light in NW DC by a driver with 18 unpaid speeding tickets totaling $3300. Eight of the 18 tickets were more than two years old, which means that the driver was either driving on expired tags or had been able to renew the tags despite the unpaid tickets.

Wasn’t this stabbing hear one of DC’s “voucher villages” ? Those are the Ward 3 crime incubators that have developed in apartment buildings along or adjacent to Connecticut. And now Bowser and the Council want to increase funding to create more voucher villages.

TFW you wanted vibes, papers and essays and ended up with granting free rein to drivers who don’t feel like complying with the law and murder charges for cops who try to stop them.
