His nurse mother WAS an addict - first to prescription meds she obtained at work, then (once fired), she progressed to heroin. She had men in and out of her life constantly. I have a family member who wrote a memoir. I have know “the author” for decades. Author sold a lot of copies. Mostly to college kids. I found it to be embellished. Some stories were conflated. No one cares; I am certain hundred of publishers and promoters know people stretch the truth . I got worked up for a while (especially with some passages that I was involved in) but now I’m over it. It’s annoying, but so what?
