Please come back. This forum is way more fun when you guys are telling everyone you’re the best. We all miss you. I know yesterday was rough but you have to move on.

Okay, I'll bite. I'm a Spirit parent. I never said we were the best though. We aren't. I'm waiting to see what's going to happen with these new developments. I AM happy that I'm not at FCV and facing the drive to Springfield.... I'd rather be on a team that loses but develops my kid and lets her also have enough time to get her schoolwork done....

Spirit parents NEVER said they were even good, but it was a fun day for FCV parents.

Here is the link for some FCV parents to help them out next year:

I believe it was way more fun when ECNL parents thought their watered down league was better wish they would come back, and get riled up again.

So Spirit parent, we should ever the development that you expect the rest of us believe is happening just because Spirit coaches are telling you so and we should envy the uncertainty of whether Spirit will be around in a year?

Loudoun parent, you want us to envy the crappy soccer your teams play that by U13 stop yielding results, leaving you without development and without results? BTW, ECNL travel and costs are higher than GDA.

VDA & BRYC parents, you want us to envy what exactly about your clubs? Directors that think WAY too highly of themselves and (with BRYC) will stab you in the back at first opportunity?

McLean, we appreciate the class-act Clyde Watson but after Clyde what should we be envious of?

Arlington is kickball central but is probably most stable, most strategic and best run club top to bottom in the DC Metro so maybe something to envy there.

Too early to judge the STJ/FCV situation especially since it doesn't appear that any significant changes are happening in year one but certainly nothing to envy at the other ECNL/GDA for FCV parents.

A new owner is pretty significant. A new location is pretty significant.

Neither will be a significant factor in year one.

So the Spirit parents should worry whether the club will exist next year (maybe they should) but FCV parents shouldn't worry that costs will go up and travel to practices will increase next year? Life is short.... more will change between now and then again....

Tell me how insignificant futsal and field house practices are in the St. James in January, February and March.

Who knows what winter will bring. On the bright side you'll have a terrific indoor facility but the real possibility is that you end up having practices at the St. James much sooner than you ever anticipated and for a 3 month period. So you can't say that is not insignificant.

What does year one matter? If true it stays at evergreen, only 1 group will see the benefit for that locale platform.

What is true is what the new owner WANTS. What his employees tell you, his new paying customers, may not be the full truth.

Reread Bobby's email. Please show one definitive promise he made that offers true certainty.

Here are a few excerpts:

"Futsal courts to be used as part of our DA programming and environment "

Ok, so Futsal will be at the St. James.

What about our training and match location? The majority of our training sessions and matches will still be held at Evergreen Sportsplex, very similar to what we do now. St James is providing us with additional opportunities if we want to use them. We will be cautious about travel distance to training as well as the geography make-up of teams. For the winter period, we will have access to a full size 11v11 indoor field and futsal courts for training and can provide a year-round opportunity to maximize the performance output for our players.

"Majority" at Evergreen. Ok that is a little vague.

FCV will be "cautious about travel distances" followed by "geography make-up of teams". So are there going to be Springfield teams and Ashburn teams?
