Spirit/FCV Parents - Please come back

Doubt it's her. She's probably too busy lying to Vienna and Burke players about how good a school Marymount is.

There are far too many abusive posts on this forum. Are we really bashing coaches wife's now. The staff at McLean, BRYC, FCV, US soccer and VDA are being abused on here frequently. This is disappointing. It should stop. Imagine if the abusive posts were about you in you're line of work? If you are a doctor and someone on an anonymous forum is posting you don't care about you're patients and you suck at what you do. Or a lawyer or a dentist.

Not PP,

If the leagues, Directors, Coaches and staff didnt pull the stunts they do, there would be way less of this.

The secrets, politics, power struggles, astroturfing, favoritism, etc.

While they continue, this should be ok to provide feedback even if it touches you in a place you don’t appreciate.

Maybe, just maybe, some of its true.

You assume these coaches (and the clubs that employ them) know how to behave like the professionals you mentioned.
Some do, many don't.

Parents are to blame as well for buying into the frenzy and the my kid is getting a college scholarship / professional offer / won a U13 National Championship in the best league ever hype.

However, coaches often ignore the fact that they are dealing with kids and parents paying for a service, and can't figure out why people get angry when they are treated with a modicum of respect and openness.

Hence, you get this board and the rantings that occur on it.

Fcv parent who was told that evergreen is real and that our value is in staying and keeping our talented players. So for this year, we’re good. Hoping long term they keep us at evergreen, but at least for this year it will be manageable thank goidness

FCV DA or United or both? Also - just U13 and older or also younger ages? Also - did that come from TSJ ownership or from the coaches? Thanks.

Coaches claim two locations, Loudoun based teams and Springfield based teams.

Where DA teams will ultimately practice will be based on the geographic composition of the player pool.

FCV is only promising the coming year at Evergreen. If loads of Arlington or other DA caliber players from the Springfield area show up they can easily displace "similar" or "like" talent already rostered on DA in order to determine where practice will be held

Of course they said that, what did anyone expect them to say? They don't want to hemorrhage players during tryout season.

Correct. And other things are in work that will add other locations, not STJ or Evergreen.

Yes. Lots. Maybe not FCV DA parents, nor FCV United older (U17 / 18) player parents who only need to worry for one more year, but plenty at the younger ages and non-DA levels.
