Apparently black is the most popular color. Is it because the resell value? Is it because it is classic so it does sell while other colors come and go it is for years the top seller and keeps it's place. Is it because the black is associated with status and formal car, like all gov officials, diplomats etc. always driving black. Is it because of the black being traditionally associated with wealth? This way or another. Black is the king of the road then. It was a concern for some at times but the AC and remote starts seem to make that a non-issue. Besides for the most of the year it is good to have a car that keeps warmer then others so it is cozier to get into. It seems to be very obvious in the parking lots and on the road, most of the cars in any given road situation that one observes are black. Be it the red light, be it a highway traffic, be it a toll booth..
A classic is a classic. A safe bet so it seems. Easier to buy, easier to sell. Better resell value. What's not to love. What is your fav color? |
| Black is a tad challenging to keep pristine but the elegance and formality that comes with it makes up for it. Nothing as beautiful as shinny and clean black car. No other color makes a car look as good. All dressed up and ready to go. |
| Black/grey cars are harder to see on the road. |
| Black looks great after a detail, but is high maintenance to maintain. No matter how careful, it shows the most light scratches from driving and washing. I’m too anal to own another black car. |

My fav car color is any color except for.black, gray or silver. All are hard to see on the road. We drive out cars for years, so resale is not a concern.
I think black is a favorite here because people are incredibly conservative and don't want to stand out socially. |
| I drive a red car so I am very visible. When I had a grey car it was like no one could see me. |
| I like all the new blues and grays that are starting to become more common, like subaru's cool gray khaki |
This. And also because it is most formal and people want to look formal and serious. No other car say that as much. Imagine serious guy in an orange car? Or purple? Or red? |
| Black means elegant. Lots of people want to maintain the image. It completes it. Formal, elegant, timeless. Always. |
| Whenever I see a black car, I think Uber Black. |
| Dark gray or silver. Black would be third choice. |
| White |
| I like the non-neutral colors. No to black, white, gray, tan . Yes to others- blue, green, red, yellow, even orange or purple. Depends on the shade and how it looks on the car. |

I wouldn’t want a black car because I associate that with chauffeured vehicles. Not ones I’m driving.
We have a dark grey-blue and dark grey car. |
| Red and blue. Also like orange and green too. I'd take any color except a neutral one. Hate black, grey, tan, beige, white, and any other neutral car. |
