Besides for the most of the year it is good to have a car that keeps warmer then others so it is cozier to get into. It seems to be very obvious in the parking lots and on the road, most of the cars in any given road situation that one observes are black. Be it the red light, be it a highway traffic, be it a toll booth.. 
A classic is a classic. A safe bet so it seems. Easier to buy, easier to sell. Better resell value. What's not to love.
