| My DS is a sophomore at Churchill. He came home this afternoon and said a male science teacher was escorted off campus by security. My DS said the teacher kissed a female student. Has anyone else heard this? |
| Good lord. We probably won't know until the reporters dig up the truth and let us know. |
+1 Doubt MCPS will be informing parents of anything. Best to sweep things under the rug, in true MCPS fashion. |
| What a disaster. And so scary for the kids - DD came home crying. She has that teacher! |
| Time for someone to post “Look on Casesearch.” |
I did you better. I looked up all the current male science teachers at Churchill on the case search. Nothing in system on today's issue yet, but I couldn't believe it. Two of the eight have domestic violence issues on record. A third seems to have waived their right to a jury trial for something or other. One has too common a name to be sure, but seems to have quite a number of things on their dossier. Only a few turned up nothing. |
Just want to add that it could be someone with the same name, but I did limit to Montgomery County. |
Wow. It’s hard because MCPS is just so big. You’re bound to get teachers who have some ‘issues’. |
Wow. |
| I hope MCPS reported the incident to CPS and the police so they were the escorts and the first ones to interview the teacher. |
| I hope so, too, and it sounds like the new principal is airing things as opposed to burying them, but the truth is that the Casey Crouse situation reinforces the idea that you can get away with anything in MCPS. Apparently the same is true when it comes to hiring and firing. Why is the AP at Damascus put on long term leave while the others in the system (granted I only know of one) with DWI carry on, business as usual? |

New poster here but my child also told me about this. Apparently, the teacher has had previous incidents and warnings.

| DS told me about this as well. Lots of rumors but nothing substantial yet |
| I would hope that a letter goes out soon |
Were parents made aware of these previous incidents? |
