In her acceptance speech for VMA Fortnight, she mentioned how her BF Travis cheered after every take. Video released April 19. So they’ve been dating a lot longer than everyone thought, probably at least 8 months or more before they went public.

Huh? She shot the video in February in NYC. I know people involved with the making of it. She released it in April. The video took a few days to make, not months!

This is the first time she has mentioned him at an event like this and it was very sweet. There will be plenty of times to come for that.

Taylor at best is 22 -- she never grew up. She stopped growing emotionally. So I do not think the drinks are off. It is what you do when you are 22. Luckily for her she now has a man that also is stuck maybe at about 25. That is why their relationship works.

They are both hugely successful and very business oriented. They are both motivated. That all shows maturity.

I think Taylor is great but I actually agree she's kind of stunted. And him even more so. I know a couple IRL who actually remind me a lot of them. This couple is now in their 40s with a kid and I still think they are immature. A lot of it is the way they present and carry themselves. It's all like "aren't we cute" -- it's self conscious and self absorbed. In T&T's case I'm sure it's a lot the result of being the public eye for their entire adult lives and not having people around them who criticize them or disagree with them. They are too successful to have that kind of low level conflict in their lives especially Taylor.

A lot of immaturity around them too in Taylor's circle of friends -- a lot of self absorbed people who don't take a ton of responsibility for themselves. Again including some people whose work I like. But also being youngish and wealthy and famous and beautiful is not a recipe for maturity and levelheadedness. Look how many of Taylor's friends have effed up relationship histories (look at her relationship history) and all the drinking and partying. I'm not a teetotaler or something but at some point in your life maturity means letting go of the short-term fun of that behavior all the time in order to focus on things that are more lasting. Whether that's your marriage or kids or charitable work or whatever. Something bigger than you. Being successful and good at business is not "maturity" in the way I mean.

Short term fun? Taylor is one of the hardest working women in the business. She wasn’t gifted with a perfect body or looks, she become a pop star because she writes her own songs, prolifically, and works hard at the business. She said herself she’s smart and hardworking and in the world those aren’t seen as assets, but she’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Is she stunted? If so, she’s doing very well for herself. I know some really stunted people who are not doing even a tiny fraction as well as she is.

They’re long distance, they’re celebrities, they’re watched and photographed and dissected everywhere they go. It’s just such a bizarre take and seems like a colossal waste of time to be so invested in this being a fake relationship. Like, OK? If it’s fake, why do you care?
