PP here. I live in Georgia. The conservatives I know are college educated, not in denial about climate change, work hard, pay taxes, go to church/synagogue/mosque, and often are small business owners. They want tighter controls at our borders, a strong military, lowered inflation, better public education with a focus on academics and vocational training, and violent criminals and repeat criminals kept in prison (or hospitalized longterm for mental health issues).

They are in the minority where it comes to believing climate change. Do they believe that Trump won the election but it was stolen from him? What about all of the other lies that Trump has told and amplified over the years? Do they believe Democrats want "open borders" despite Dem support of the Bipartisan border bill that would have funded physical barriers at the border, more border patrol agents, more surveillance and technology for catching illegal border crossers, along with improving capacity to more quickly deport people who should be deported?

I think the problem is that even if Republicans "know what's on MSM" they have for the last 30+ years been systematically conditioned to believe that everything said by MSM is a lie. People like Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Mark Levin and others claimed that the MSM is lying about everything over and over and over on every show, and it's now culturally ingrained in many conservatives, even ones who never listened to folks like Rush Limbaugh hear it from fellow conservatives who did listen to them. Yes, the MSM does occasionally distort or get things wrong but overall they are far more likely to be telling the truth rather than telling a lie. But since conservatives don't like hearing politically inconvenient truths, they just dismiss them as lies, even though they have no evidence that it's a lie. Meanwhile, they put far more trust and belief in the conservative media outlets because they tell them what they want to hear, even though many conservative media outlets have an even worse track record with the truth than the MSM does.

I mean, after watch the MSM completely asleep at the switch with respect to Biden’s health, I’m beginning to see why they don’t trust the MSM at all. It’s appalling that only the right-wing media was covering what we all know now are serious issues with Biden.

Yet does conservative media cover any of Trump's serious mental health issues, the incoherent nonsensical rambling about sharks and batteries and windmill cancer and how you have to flush the toilet 10 or 15 times, how he slurs his speech, how he constantly fabricates wild stories "they came to me with tears in their eyes and said sir, we have never heard anything so brilliant" or how he's degenerated from being very articulate to now using a 5th grade vocabulary, how he often slurs his speech and can't get common words out - not to mention not questioning any other aspects of his health like when he got his health checkup from White House doctor Ronny Jackson which ludicrously said he was 200lbs when he's obese and clearly closer to 270 lbs, and all of the cardiac issues that come with that... FACT: Trump unilaterally made that withdrawal deal with the Taliban without consulting the Afghans or any of our allies, and then hamstrung the withdrawal by shutting down the infrastructure needed for getting people out.

FACT: Trump lied and claimed no soldiers were lost on his watch when in fact 3x more American soldiers were killed on his watch than Biden's

FACT: Trump separated migrant kids from their moms and dads, didn't keep records and they got lost in the system, sent off to live with whoever.

FACT: Trump left Biden with a raging COVID dumpster fire, hundreds of thousands sick and dying, idiots believing covid was a "hoax" and that the vaccines were more dangerous than covid, idiots demonizing others for wearing masks and trying to stay healthy, raging inflation driven by Trump's "free money stimmy checks" and fraudulent PPP loans flooding the economy, broken logistics infrastructure and supply chain shortages but Biden was able to end most of that and get our economy headed back in the right direction faster than most other countries did.

PP here. I live in Georgia. The conservatives I know are college educated, not in denial about climate change, work hard, pay taxes, go to church/synagogue/mosque, and often are small business owners. They want tighter controls at our borders, a strong military, lowered inflation, better public education with a focus on academics and vocational training, and violent criminals and repeat criminals kept in prison (or hospitalized longterm for mental health issues).

They are in the minority where it comes to believing climate change. Do they believe that Trump won the election but it was stolen from him? What about all of the other lies that Trump has told and amplified over the years? Do they believe Democrats want "open borders" despite Dem support of the Bipartisan border bill that would have funded physical barriers at the border, more border patrol agents, more surveillance and technology for catching illegal border crossers, along with improving capacity to more quickly deport people who should be deported?

I think the problem is that even if Republicans "know what's on MSM" they have for the last 30+ years been systematically conditioned to believe that everything said by MSM is a lie. People like Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Mark Levin and others claimed that the MSM is lying about everything over and over and over on every show, and it's now culturally ingrained in many conservatives, even ones who never listened to folks like Rush Limbaugh hear it from fellow conservatives who did listen to them. Yes, the MSM does occasionally distort or get things wrong but overall they are far more likely to be telling the truth rather than telling a lie. But since conservatives don't like hearing politically inconvenient truths, they just dismiss them as lies, even though they have no evidence that it's a lie. Meanwhile, they put far more trust and belief in the conservative media outlets because they tell them what they want to hear, even though many conservative media outlets have an even worse track record with the truth than the MSM does.

I mean, after watch the MSM completely asleep at the switch with respect to Biden’s health, I’m beginning to see why they don’t trust the MSM at all. It’s appalling that only the right-wing media was covering what we all know now are serious issues with Biden.

Yet does conservative media cover any of Trump's serious mental health issues, the incoherent nonsensical rambling about sharks and batteries and windmill cancer and how you have to flush the toilet 10 or 15 times, how he slurs his speech, how he constantly fabricates wild stories "they came to me with tears in their eyes and said sir, we have never heard anything so brilliant" or how he's degenerated from being very articulate to now using a 5th grade vocabulary, how he often slurs his speech and can't get common words out - not to mention not questioning any other aspects of his health like when he got his health checkup from White House doctor Ronny Jackson which ludicrously said he was 200lbs when he's obese and clearly closer to 270 lbs, and all of the cardiac issues that come with that... How can you trust conservative media when they do even more lying and spinning and covering up than MSM does?

No, the right-wing media does not cover Trump’s dementia and lies. But you don’t get it: I do not trust the right-wing media. They lie like Trump lies. But what has shifted, what has profoundly shifted, is my trust in the MSM.

Nobody has to convince anyone that the MSM has been lying. The proof is in their reporting... or lack of it.
Just a month ago, Biden's cognitive decline was simply a right-wing conspiracy, according to the MSM. Now, we find that many of these reporters have witnessed the decline for months, if not years. And, how many of these reporters have been given questions by the WH like the WURD host?
And, then we have the whole Russian collusion hoax, the laptop being "disinformation," and a slew of other lies that have turned out to be actually truths.
