Culver Academy, Episcopal Dallas, Georgetown Prep, Loomis Chaffee, Paul VI, DeMatha, Riverside, St. Alban's, St. John's. Not familiar with who Loomis Chaffee is or who Riverside is, but looks like a good day of lacrosse!

Culver, SJC and GP are the top teams playing in this event.

Loomis is a competitive program from the New England West prep league with a rich history. They had
(13-5) record last year but when you look at who they lost to, Deerfield, Salisbury, and Taft (2x), nothing to hang your hat on.

Episcopal School Dallas and PVI are likely par for the course.

STA, DeMatha will be considered the "weaker" programs attending this event.

Overall, should be a good event.

Maybe the Hoyas and Cadets can at least scrimmage one another in the Fall!

Speaks and prep coach are very close. Doubt they will schedule that game next week.

So it sounds like both programs / head coaches are avoiding scheduling any type of gsme or scrimmage against one another?

Remember this is fall last year fall did not look like Spring. STA dominates in the fall. Many teams are missing players some play sophomores for exposure.

They have always played. Sounds like some higher ups at Prep have told the coach he won’t schedule St. John’s anymore. They are upset over losing players to St. John’s that they anticipated attending Prep.

Is there a schedule for this event out yet? Would love to see some of these teams play. Who is the public school there, will they hang at all?

No posted schedule yet. Riverside is historically one of the better VA publics. They beat Gonzaga two years ago, although Gonzaga had a bunch of players suspended. They are not as strong now as they were a few years ago and likely cannot hang.

Riverside is done, couldn’t even field a team for VEL

Riverside is not a bad team for a VA public. They could easily beat some privates in the WCAC, MIAA-B & C and the IAC. Are they in the same league with alot of the teams in that tourney? No. But, I guess they want a challenge. Culver is always good, L/C is not bad for where they play and should not be a slouch. We all know SJC and Prep. Likely some good games.

I don’t think any of the teams in the tournament want to play Riverside because it would be an absolute waste of time. I doubt they score more than 3 goals a game.

Name one team in the IAC that Riverside could beat? They lost to STA case closed

Riverside will need to bring it. If they have a poor showing then it will be last time they are invited. Having said that, I hope they do well.

It’s fall lacrosse. Running clock games. Means nothing. Also, the last time Riverside was there, they went 2-1 and lost by 2 goals in the game they lost. They are well coached, have talent, they will be fine. Again it’s fall lacrosse!

Yes, it is fall lacrosse. Its evaluation for the coaches. If you win, great. Most coaches will tell you they dont care. They want to see what they have and might have and finish without injuries.
