Cancun/Playa del Carmen suggestions

Anonymous
Thinking of doing all inclusive in November this year or next year in winter/Spring. Never done an all inclusive and this area of Mexico seems like it has good options. Also cost to Cancun seems cheaper than other Caribbean locations.
So any suggestions for places to visit, resorts? How to go about getting the best deals on resorts? Kids are both elementary school age.

I want to know this info too

Travel Zoo just posted one for Rosewood Mayakoba. It's lovely. It's in Playacar I believe - a ways from Cancun which is not my scene.

Rosewood is not AI, is it?

OP why Cancun? I just can’t bring myself to go there.

The deal is all-inclusive.
Not OP, but since she mentions price, I would guess that she is choosing Cancun because of the price. Sorry you can't bring yourself to go there.

We are always big fans of Dreams Resort. There are plenty of Dreams Resorts to choose from all around Cancun.

There is so much to do around Cancun/Riviera Maya.

It doesn't seem you can bring yourself to read either. Why open a thread with Cancun/Playa if you have nothing to add?

Walk along 5th Avenue in Playa, also venturing a few blocks inland for delicious local food
Cenotes! So fun!
Tulum ruins
I think all the Xcaret/x-whatever places are well-liked but haven’t been myself

+1 The Riviera Maya is gorgeous, has excellent food, beautiful beaches and terrific weather. Not sure why people who have never even been there would opine.

Just came back from Dreams Riviera Maya a few days ago. It was nice and the kids loved the kids club

+2 I have been all over the Caribbean and much of the world. This part of Mexico is the only place I return to annually. You can’t beat the beauty of the beaches and food. Tulum is stunning.

The Travel Zoo deal is for the Fairmont Mayakoba which is different then the Rosewood Mayakoba.
Fairmont does offer an all-inclusive option.

OP again. Thanks for the suggestions. did you book through different travel sites or with the resort itself? There are so many options! I'm having a hard time narrowing them down
