Academies of Loudoun Waitlist

I know a similar question was posted a few years ago, but I want to know if anythings changed. What are the chances of someone getting accepted into AOS, AET, or even TJ if they got waitlisted into all of them?

I have the same question too.

My DC is on the waitlist for both AOS and AET this year. I sent an email to ACL admissions but no response. Hoping some parents who have been through this before can give some information.

We are in the same boat (waitlisted on both academies). I guess we just hang on tight. It will be nice to know one way or another. With TJ, I hear, the wait list pool has a good chance of getting in, but they will know only around mid July after the summer admissions are finalized (such a long wait for them). With the Academies, since there is no second round of admissions, I hope the spots will be finalized once the kids accept or decline. The only variable after that will be if someone has an unplanned move out of the area, right?

Just asking, does anyone know when the deadline is for AOS/AET kids to accept or decline their offers?

April 5

Students are allowed to accept or decline the ACL offer by Apr 5th. After that the waitlisted students will be offered admission and the process will continue until all seats are filled for AOS and AET.

DC is offered admission to AET. He is Still on wait list for AOS.

DS is off aos waitlist today but he already accepted TJ offer.

DC got both AOS and AET offer and accepted AOS yesterday.

Why would the deadline to accept/decline not be included in the acceptance? Does anyone know deadlines for AET?

does anyone know how it works if you are on a waitlist but must accept or decline one program before you find out if a spot opened up on the waitlist?

You can still choose to go to the program of your liking. For example, if you got into AET, but waitlisted into AOS and already accepted AET, then you will still be able to accept AOS if you get in.

How does the waitlist process work? My child is still on the waitlist for AOS. Have they offered more students admission?
