What time on Friday was your child offered admission
|
Received email at 6:55 pm |
| Has anyone had their child get into aos but not aet. My dc is on the waitlist for aet (top choice ) but has received admission for aos. I have heard aos is harder to get into and most students that get into aos get into aet. |
| My child has a classmate that was offered AOS admission but not AET (not even waitlisted). In general I think your statement is true but at this point with waitlist I think it is more about capacity (spots available). With AET you can only be offered if there are seats open and it matches your top 2 choices while with AOS there is no pathway selection, so if there are spots available and you are sufficiently high on waitlist you will get in. |
| I have heard the aos Has filled up all of their seat form a teacher at my child’s school |
| Anyone’s child still on the waitlist? |
| My DC is off the waitlist but there are kids at her school that are still waitlisted |
| My child is still on AOS waitlist . |
| My child is also on the AOS waitlist. I’m hoping it will move fast because she has told me that she only knows one other person at her school still on the waitlist |
For mine it's the opposite. Only four other boys made it, that he knows of, three in just AET including himself, and two in both AOS and AET. Everyone else is either waitlisted or was rejected- around maybe 20 other boys in his group. |
That's interesting. The requirements for AET are more stringent than AOS. I assumed it was harder to get into, but maybe the applicant pool for AOS is bigger (no geometry requirement), so it's harder. |
| AOS is definitely a harder school to get into. The classes are much harder and at a much higher level compared to aet. My daughter knows kids at her school that don’t perform as well ( getting Bs and Cs ) that have gotten into aet |
| I heard who got low scores and low grades got in AOS /AET |
That's very interesting. The only anecdote I have to share is that a neighbor got into TJ but not AOS. |
| My child was offered admission to AOS today, but is still on the waitlist for AET |
