I'm quite happy about the possible downhill effect of KAA making my child's school less overcrowded. |
What if you child was moved from Chantilly to another school-not KAA-- as part of the adjustment? Totally cool right? |
Hahaha. You just proved pp's point. Fine to move Other People's Kids around to improve your kid's situation but of course it doesn't even occur to you that your precious Larlo might be moved elsewhere to benefit someone else. Anything could happen. We all know FCPS and SB have priorities and motivations that often don't match with what families want. |
Agree. And it seems highly likely that some Chantilly kids get moved to fill seats elsewhere. |
$hitty hypocrites want boundary moves that hurt other people’s kids. I sincerely hope your kids get moved. |
She's probably the Chantilly parent who was screeching a few pages back that it was simply inconceivable that the Chantilly school, Poplar Tree, right next to Westfield's boundary could be moved to Westfield to fill 1000 empty seats. |
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.
I doubt the school board has given much thought at all to the new boundaries. |
Like the BRAC member who spoke at a SB meeting saying they need boundary changes for equity but that her kids shouldn’t be moved. They’re super gross people and I wish them the worst. |
Oh anyone who can count and look at a map can see that there will for sure be some unhappy Chantilly families once KAA is filled. Your overcrowded school borders a school that will likely have 2-3 ESes moved out to KAA..... |
You do realize that THRU was moving Chantilly kids out long before we learned of the KAA purchase? |
And, one school is already likely to be moved out. And, THRU has already moved some closer to Westfield out. What makes you think they will move out another school? |
Thru hasn't done a thing yet. They have made various suggestions. Nothing is set. |
Yep, and didn't someone on the SB slip up and say the final maps would look very different? |
Then get rid of IB! Look at the schools with IB, with the exception of Robinson, it’s being used as a loophole for parents to get their kids out of poorer performing schools. I’d love the convenience of living inside the beltway in an Annandale district and still being able to send my kids to Woodson or Lake Braddock. However, I chose to buy a house with a solid high school. |
Anything thru was *suggesting* in the area was just a fun thought exercise because it was all pre-purchase. |
