anyone watch it?
|
I DVR-ed and will be watching it tonight after the kiddos are in bed. |
I admit I am biased and am not a big fan of hers. I really think she needs to lay off trashing everyone around her and articulate a positive vision of what she believes in. Is she really a victim of the McCain campaign staffers, Tina Fey, Katie Couric, etc? Aren't conservatives against victimhood and for personal responsibility?
It just makes her look petty and vindictive... She should be trying to project a more substantive persona if she is contemplating a career in politics. |
well, to me its a complete joke that someone who has only been in public office a few short years would accept the nomination. at least finish your first senate term and gain some experience. State senate and community organizing is not the experience I am looking for.
oh, were we talking about Obama? |
For someone without a message or a working brain, people are sure paying a lot of attention to her! |
Did she really say she was a victim of Katie Couric? That was about as hard hitting as a public access television show covering the historic train stations of northern virginia. |
Is it true that when someone says "Nice day" to you, you answer "Yeah, no thanks to Obama!"? ![]() |
You are clearly not well informed about the conservative modus operandi. A nice day will be totally ignored. It will be as if it didn't happen. That despite earlier claims that the lack of nice days was the most important leading indicator ever regarding Obama's leadership. Of course, even a mildly bad day will provoke a gigantic hissy fit blaming Obama for the bad day. If you point out that bad days occurred during the Bush administration, you will be told that everyone is "sick of everything being blamed on Bush". |
I saw lots of articles in the blogosphere yesterday from McCain people saying that basically every word she said on Oprah from start to finish was a lie. |
Unless they were under oath when they said it I take both sides with a grain of salt. The fact is there is no love lost between the two, and they are most likely both biased. I suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle. BTW I am moderately conservative, and I believe most days are good days. I believe there are surveys that support that GOP voters are generally more content than Democrat voters, but I am too busy being happy to worry about it. ![]() |
I don't understand all the attention Sarah is getting from the media that she attacks/criticizes. I don't even click on the stories about her book or talk shows because then she will seem even more popular. She has nothing of substance or of intelligence to say, not to mention the whiny, nagging voice.
She's like a car accident. You drive by rubbernecking after a car accident expecting to see blood and bodies, but see nothing but 2 cars. |
My thoughts? It was a puff show. Not that interesting. And, didn't change my opinion of her at all. |
Gov. Palin's appearance on Oprah was Oprah's highest rated show in 2 years. Love her or hate her, but people tune in to see her. |
I think a lot of Obama's strength comes from people liking him and believing that he has the answers and their willingness to be lead more than his experience or other qualifications. Compare that with Hilary. She's probably more qualified than Obama but many people don't trust her or like her. She has to fight her way to the top; Obama was carried by to the top. Just sayin' |
Love Sarah and am happy to see her out and about! Regarding Couric-there were hours shot and they looked for the worst sound bites. I blame her handlers (I am in pr) and any idiot would have known that Couric was looking to position the interview in a negative light. I would have insisted it was either live or taped and not edited or nothing. |
