I appreciate your feedback.
We all view things through our own lens. I am a big NPR fan, but I know not everyone agrees. |
PP again. What do you prefer to listen to? |
I prefer the straight news type shows like All Things Considered. I try to get news from a lot of different sources (conservative, liberal, middle of the road), so I read a lot of different things. I regularly read The Economist, on a daily basis read BBC web page (I loved BBC when I lived overseas, but I haven't found it on radio here in DC), CNN, NYT, Financial Times, WP -- and even Fox (mostly for fun becuase I find it amusing). I don't know why Diane Rhem frustrates me so much. I think it's because I always thought she was pretty neutral, then I heard some shows on my area of expertise (homeland security/national security) and was really surprised. She was so sanctimonious with the more "conservative" (I suppose) guests. I flet like she didn't understand the issues and was taking a knee jerk liberal stance. I felt like she wasn't even listening to the other side and she just wanted a guest on there to abuse. I don't know; maybe I'm being unfair to her, but I really dislike the show now. |
Diane Rhem detractor again -- I do like Talk of the Nation and Tell Me More (which seems to have an agenda, but it's not hidden and she challenges her own agenda regularly). I HATE Le Show. I think it's ridiculous. I find On the Media really interesting. |
I love her style!
Hate her politics. |
Apparently. Also, did you see the "hours shot"? What stunning and cogent insights did "Sarah" (on a first-name basis, huh? lucky you!) offer that were left on the cutting-room floor by liberal she-devil Katie Couric? It was a trick question though. Everyone knows you can only answer a question about what you read if you actually read. She was totally set up. |
If you have to be "handled" and STILL fail, you're a moron. |
