| What's your love language? What things does your spouse do that make feel loved? |
| The term “Love language” makes my skin crawl. |
So, not 'words of affirmation' then? |
|
I am a woman and it's acts of service. E.g. I will cook your favorite meal when I know you had an exhausting day and you will scrape the snow off my car in the morning.
It seems that this love language is rarer than the others |
| LOL Acts of Service vs F**k Me Baby is the entire story of men and women around here |
| My love language is "give me a fing break, life is hard, grow up, be kind but you are not getting all your emotional needs fulfilled from 1 person, be a whole person 1st". |
Lol. This is my husband's and it's annoying. I like presents and sweet words not somebody fixing the garbage disposal. If I need a plumber I will call one. I am a gift giver and he hates it. Thinks I am just creating clutter. |

Words of Affirmation
Acts of Service Physical Touch Quality Time Tokens of Appreciation/Gifts In that order, from most meaningful to least meaningful. |
|
Acts of service/Quality time are tied for me
Physical touch is last |
|
| Next time I get married I am going to make sure it’s not to a woman with “DO STUFF FOR ME BUT DON’T TOUCH ME!” As her love language |
Barf!!!!!
|
|
I'm acts of service, my husband is physical touch
typical hetero relationship dynamic, I guess! lol |
Is your marriage happy and fulfilling? |
| DH and I took a quiz a while back and we are both Physical Touch. We scored very similarly on the quiz - lowest for both of us was Gifts - neither of us care about that. His second highest was Words of Affirmation while mine was Quality Time. |
