War with Iran

It’s a shame the commander in chief is such a moron.

Yes, but it's got nothing to do with ethics or morals. It's just that we can afford it. Other NATO countries try to do the same thing, because they're quite wealthy, even though they're nowhere near as wealthy as the USA when it comes to defense. But Russia? Russia is poor. It's not going to spend the little money it has rescuing soldiers.

So let's place this in its correct context of money.

We don't know the real story but as an immigrant, I wanted to become an American citizen because stories of Americans not leaving their people stranded was a big draw.

Tough to fully buy into what's true and what's not until it's independently verified by sources outside of Trump and Hesgeth's comm teams.

Husband showed this to me in social media. I told him that this has to be fake… this is totally unhinged even for the orange baboon’s standard!

lol it is all BS. The US has left people stranded many times. The marines have left people and bodies behind. It’s what happens in combat.

I'm an immigrant and I'm smart enough to know that a well-intentioned effort can be made, but sometimes fate decides otherwise. Here the optics would have been disastrous if the airman had been captured or killed, therefore the USA expended a ton of effort into the rescue. More than it usually does.

Don't kid yourself that any of this has to do with moral superiority.

Hearing reports that the backseater was an O-6. That’s pretty senior to be a backseater. Which is unusual.

Also the operation was all special ops not PJs(trained search and rescue units).

Kind of strange.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) denounced Trump for “mocking Islam” and invoking Allah in his Truth Social post threatening Iran.

How has everyone not condemned the mania evidenced in that post. We are so far past the 25th amendment time but America is being screwed by the compliant Republican Party.

Good grief. Where do you people come up with your inane talking points?

It has nothing to do with wealth. It is because we value life. Especially the lives of those who willingly dedicate their lives to defend the US. The least we can do is do everything necessary to bring them home.

Don’t really care what CAIR thinks about anything.

Ok, thank you for your contribution. You've brought a lot to the table that we're going to need to think on.

It's because politicians are afraid. And we worship corpses.

If Biden, Obama, both Bushs, Clinton, or Reagan had posted something like that they would have been immediately taken to Walter Reed for a psyche evaluation. And the 25th Amendment would have been set in motion. Unfortunately in 2026, Republicans have lost their minds with their devotion to Trump. And Republicans control the White House, the Senate, the House, and the Supreme Court. So the madness will continue. The Republican Party IS the clear and present danger to America.
