| I don’t watch Jeopardy regularly, but this makes me oddly sad. I wonder if he will be replaced or the show will stop production. It wouldn’t be the same with someone else. |
| Oh no! What horrible news! |
|
Goddamnit. He is a seriously nice man.

| Oh no! |
| Noooooooo. Sorry for him. Such a legend. |
| I was so sorry to hear that. I just lost a family member to pancreatic cancer recently. He went three weeks from diagnosis to passing away. This news feels like a bit of a gut punch after that. |
I’m so sorry
|
You can’t say you’re a former contestant without saying how far you got and if you won! |
I placed second and won $2,000 almost ten years ago. Trebek is very gracious and I’m so sorry he got this horrible diagnosis. |
|
Did you all watch the video where he announces his diagnosis?
Seriously gracious and so sad to hear. |

My sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away a bit more than 4 months (2015) later at 54 (median survival time post dx is 6 months unless you have the kind Steve Jobs had). It is a brutal disease to have.
It IS sad. Years and years ago I worked in a group home where the residents watched Jeopardy every evening (the Jeopardy and K-mart bits in the movie Rainman were spot on). Every so often I catch a bit of it--it's so reassuring when so often it feels like the world is completely off the rails (I think you can feel this way no matter what your politics are!). His life insurance ads crack me up, though, because I used to sell that crap and the pitch really has not changed in decades, probably hasn't changed in the last century. |
Same though six weeks for my family member. |
He is a class act. |
| Oh I'm so sad. This is going to make my husband really sad too. |
| How awful |
