Three weeks from diagnosis to death for my dad, too. It’s a brutal disease.

Sad, very sad news. God grant him and his family as much peace and comfort as possible.

Such sad news. My FIL was dead 5 months after he was diagnosed. Very hard to treat.

Oh wow. My dad who was THE hugest Jeopardy fan passed away last year. We can’t even listen to the theme song without dissolving into tears.

My colleague's father was diagnosed and died a few weeks later. It was a real shock as he had been healthy until his diagnosis.

Seriously gracious and so sad to hear.

I watched his announcement and I am praying that he is going to beat this like he says he's going to. He looks so good and healthy. I just can't believe that he could be so sick.

He plans to keep on working. He's amazing.

Terribly sad and the video he made was amazing. If a positive attitude counts for anything then he'll do well.

Isn't he one of the few people all Americans like and trust?

My sons and I have gone to the Jeopardy tapping in LA 3 summers in a row. Alex always takes questions from the audience during the breaks. He always called on my boys and gave very thoughtful answers which always included a joke. He definitely seems like the real deal. I pray for a miracle for him.

I really hope he confounds the statistics.

This reminds me so much of Peter Jennings announcing his lung cancer (maybe because I also loved him and watched him every night).

So sad. He married very late. I feel so bad for his family.

That struck me, too. He looks and sounds amazing. Please let him beat this.
