The three year old rooming in with her at the hospital while also suffering a fever also seemed odd. Wouldn't the focus be more on diagnosising the kid than OP?

I don't know if the poster is a troll, but she seems to be a bit on the goofy side. Her threads are all over the place. She is clearly in Miami and in some posts says that, but has another thread claiming to be in Atlanta. My best guess is that she may not be mentally all there.

There were multiple sockpuppet posts, and Jeff went to some trouble to post them clearly. Some were quite bizarre, like "OP should have the flu results by now" or something like that. And the one posting as a husband who is concerned about his wife over-exercising -- that was really weird.

I think at this point, replying to the OP is unproductive and probably cruel. This is someone with a lot on her plate, and it is likely not what she's been posting about.

Flat-out, she was a troll. She had a lot of rationales for the many untruths she told (someone might identify me, etc), but there is absolutely no reason for the slew of sockpuppet posts. And she was much nastier in word choice and tone than other people posting, even before that explosion at the end. No reason for these, other than to stir up drama and suck up attention (trolling -- this is only the first half-dozen):

"Speak up if you have concerns. I wouldn't be comfortable with a nurse either."
"I would absolutely speak up in this case. Malaria is nothing to mess with."

People were also pointing out that a lot of her story made no sense, like when she said she had to watch her 3 year old in her hospital room because her husband was at work. So she posted saying she was a nurse and said that was a totally permissible practice because it wasn’t like the Op had Ebola.
