hormonal. at the beginning of my cycle to ovulation I want it every day. second half pretty indifferent. of course I can still enjoy sex whenever, but I'm more motivated at the beginning.

For my wife, days ~5 - 15 of her cycle are potential days for sex. Days 16 - 28, 1-4 aren't worth the bother of initiating.

Everyone saying hormones is correct. Hormones are a powerful force. I’m insatiable as ovulation approaches, then it’s like I need a break until the next month. I’ll still go a few rounds with DH to finish off the month, but it’s different and I could take it or leave it.

They aren't crazy, at least OP's wife isn't. They make biological sense...DW is horny around the time she is most fertile.

A lot is still misunderstood, but I think it actually is damaging to women to dismiss hormonal changes as "crazy." Frustrating? For sure.

OP here makes sense! A week of sex, 3 weeks off...her cycle..she is on birth control that eliminates her period so I didn't make that connection.

Unfortunately for my husband, I am only really into sex when ovulation is near. Any other time if the month takes me forever to get "warmed up" and it's just nowhere near as good and satisfying.
