GA doesn’t compare favorably to ECNL
Interesting. Not that it matters but there are more ECNL boys in the top 25 of the various ages than GA in the top 25 girls.

Because those websites are ran by ECNL friendly people. Plenty of folks and forums that can back me up.

Also, why don’t you pull up the college placements and National team #s on the boys side, let’s see how ECNL compares to mls next then
Do you have any evidence for your accusation of bias?

Has anyone heard anything specific from any league as to what they’re going to do for 26? The three recommendations by US soccer seem to be just that, recommendations. Even though I believe all the majors will pick the same one. Anything of substance from higher ups at ECNL, GA, MLSN, etc.? Or just something someone cousin who is a director believes?

Until we get official announcements from governing bodies it’s all just rumors.

Most people thought the mandate would change back to SY as that’s what the rumor mill was pushing but I always heard MLS and their influence on youth soccer was strongly against it. Along with many club directors not wanting to deal with the headache. This is how we ended up at you can do what you want.

The same person who told me about all this months ago and basically called his shot about this is saying the big 3 USYS, US Club, AYSO will goto school year. Sounds like some states will have different cutoffs because when they start school.

Also non state and national level tournaments and showcases will have different rules to allow cross state play to continue.

MLSN and GA partnered together to have a pathway for BY they way add in younger aged pre level leagues as well. U11/12.

US club will go SY and will probably choose 9/1 cutoffs with waiver system for August kids if they are in the same grade.

He isn’t sure how much of this will happen he said there are many things being discussed at this point and they have 60 days to put a plan together and agree on how it should be rolled out.

This is such revisionist BS.

Months ago nobody was saying that. All anyone was saying is the ECNL would go back to SY.

Then it was pointed out that that couldn’t on their own. And that was its own debate.

Then the joint statement from Club, USYS and AYO months later….still nothing from ECNL…then USSF made their “hang tight, we’re talking” etc etc etc.

NOBODY said “USClub + Rec” because it’s stupid and makes ECNL look like cynical turds.

The way they had to get their concession was by pretending they’re in solidarity with the masses vs elite competition…is just dumb and ugly.

This thread is about ECNL so the people here must care about ECNL and the decisions the league makes

facts with more ECNL players in D1, the % is obviously higher. doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. same as in football and basketball. transfer portal has major problems. has nothing to do with ECNL. you go to D1 and the majority of players sit the first year. kids aren't use to it and want to transfer. every player on a D1 is good and you are competing with 2-3 other players for your spot where in club a lot of times you have started for your team the last 5 years. product of the transfer portal and play now syndrome.
