Conservative neighborhoods in MoCo

Anonymous
Hello, we are looking for neighborhoods anywhere in MoCo that are moderate/conservative. We have nothing against Democrats or liberals but DH and I would love to live in a neighborhood where there is a mix of political views and some conservative families. What areas in Montgomery County are conservative/not very liberal? DH will be commuting to North Bethesda area. The public elementary and middle schools do not need to be good but we would prefer a decent high school just so DCs have the option to go public for high school, though we are going private k-8. Thanks in advance!

Darnestown is conservative, and is not too far from all the Potomac area privates. I'd check that area out.

Parts of Chevy Chase and Kensington, for sure.

It's impossible to generalize but maybe try Poolesville or Frederick County. MoCo is not very socially conservative. Or try Virginia. But really do the politics of your neighbors really matter that much or is "conservative families" codes for straight, white, Christian, etc.?

Specifically the area right around Holy Redeemer in Kensington. Everywhere else is pretty liberal.

Eh, maybe fiscally conservative but those places are definitely socially liberal.

I disagree. If they are liberal, it's in the faintest sense of the word. Agree with PP about the parts of Kensington near HR in particular.

OP here, no I did not mean to say conservative as a hint for not diverse or anything. We sincerely want a neighborhood that is not over the top liberal, as we are pretty conservative. We will check out Kensington and Darenstown(many of our friends live up there from privates). Our budget is $800-$1.5 mill. What part of silver spring is 4 corners?

Four Corners is where Montgomery Blair HS is. I live nearby, but wouldn't call it a conservative area.

There are many conservatives in Chevy Chase (and, yes, many liberals too).
