Chevy Chase View and the area around Holy Redeemer in Kensington (Byeforde) is known to be very conservative.

This question really puzzles me. Why does anyone care about their neighbors' political views? And who talks to their neighbors about politics?

people flock to Takoma Park to be around dippy hippies, why is it so bad to want to find the opposite if that is what they want.

We live in Luxmanor, not on Stephalee but close by. Wonderful neighborhood, but not at all what I would call conservative.

Not even fiscally, but there are plenty of folks who may not be completely on board with where Dems seem to be heading on tax policies.

FWIW - blue state Maryland still voted for a Republican governor. As long as you're reasonable, I daresay you'll be fine.
