Enriched classes. When do notifications go out?

Anonymous
Will they go out to all 5th graders and 6th graders?

Do you mean incoming 6th graders and current 6th graders for the pilot 7th grade classes next year? Last year, only selected kids received notification.

It looks like there may be a different time line for 5th graders going into 6th. And current 6th graders going into 7th.

The magnet letters said late January 2019 for 5th going to 6th.
Anyone know about 6th graders going into 7th?

I would assume current 6th graders will find out during registration at their individual schools.

Different schools must be on different timelines because we received our notification on Tuesday. We just had our parent meeting for parents of incoming sixth graders last night and the Assistant Principal said notifications were only mailed to students who were invited to participate in the enriched courses, and that we should have already received them.

I’ll add that the mailing came from the middle school itself, on their letterhead.

My fifth grader received her notification today.

Please include the name of the school if you post to say DC received a letter.

Anyone heard from Cabin John relating to their AIM or enriched SS class?

Has anyone heard from SSIS? The person I spoke to on the phone had no idea and took my name and number but I have not heard back from anyone

Did your kid get into one or two classes? How did he/she do on CogAt, if you don't mind sharing?
